Kristen Krida Wacana University (Ukrida)

This university has a few campuses and Campus 1 is the nearest campus from Royal Mediterania Garden. Campus 2 is located 2,8 km from Royal Mediterania Garden and usually used by medical students. So, if you are Ukrida’s student and your activities is mostly in Campus 1, Royal Mediterania Garden is the perfect place. You can just take taxi motorcycle (ojek) online for 5 mins or  700 meter to reach Kristen Krida Wacana University Campus 1.

Tarumanagara University (Untar)

Untar also has two campuses. Campus 2 is located right alongside Ciputra Mall and Campus 1 is across the street. So, Untar student can easily walk to Ciputra Mall for hangout and all they need is to cross over the street using pedestrian bridge to reach both campus buildings.

Tarumanagara University is located 1,4 km from Royal Mediterania Garden. You can take ojek online for 5 mins or TransJakarta from Podomoro City shelter and stop at Grogol shelter to reach Untar from Royal Mediterania Garden.

Trisakti University

This university is famous for its “Trisakti Shootings” incident in 12 May 1998, when four students were killed and dozens injured. For commemoration of the incident, monument and Trisakti Museum in Trisakti University were built.

Trisakti University has a few campuses spreading in Jakarta and there are three campuses in Grogol, Jakarta near Royal Mediterania Garden. This campus is located right beside Tarumanagara University Campus 1, so you can use ojek online or TransJakarta and stop at Grogol shelter, like Untar students to reach Trisakti University.

Esa Unggul University

Esa Unggul University is located 2,6 km from Royal Mediterania Garden right beside Ukrida Campus 2. Esa Unggul University building is located near Kebon Jeruk highway and sometimes the traffic around there is pretty bad. So, many people usually pass through Tanjung Duren area from Royal Mediterania Garden to reach Esa Unggul for less traffic.

Binus University Kemanggisan

This university also has a few campuses and three of them are located in Kemanggisan area. Luckily, they are placed near each other so the students can just walk to reach the other campus. Anggrek Campus is the most recent and has a modern design, you can find Starbucks here! The distance from Royal Mediterania Garden is 5 km and you can use ojek online for fast and cheap transportation.

SMAK 1 Penabur

There are so many universities located near Royal Mediterania Garden. But, how about schools? If you need residence for small family and your kids is SMAK 1 Penabur student or planning to continue their education there, Royal Mediterania Garden is the perfect place for your family. SMAK 1 Penabur is only 600 meters from Royal Mediterania Garden, your kids just need to walk for 8 mins and they can easily reach their school.

SMAN 78

This high school is one of the favourite high schools in West Jakarta. It is located near Binus University Kemanggisan and only 4,1 km from Royal Mediterania Garden. SMAN 78 has two entrance gates. Their front gate is right across Binus Square, the dormitory for Binus University’s student. Usually people will use the back gate because the back area is more spacious and broad enough for parking.

Bina Bangsa School

Are your kids still in primary school? If you do, then Bina Bangsa School is here for your kids. This international school was founded in 2001 and provide education for preschool, primary, secondary, and junior college. The preschool and primary school are located right beside SMAN 78 when the secondary school and junior college are located across Esa Unggul School. If you don’t have time to pick up your kids after school, no need to worry because this school also has a shuttle bus for their students.

WaxPresso Coffee

Same as Cartenz Coffee, WaxPresso is also located inside Podomoro City area, near Royal Mediterania Garden. You can find this coffee shop at Ruko Garden Shopping Arcade B/08/AM. The operation hours is from 7AM until 11PM.

WaxPreso uses classic design with many posters from 1990 era such as Terminator, The Mask, and many more for the decoration. If you want to celebrate a birthday party or do some gathering, you can reserve the second floor for your event.

 

Koultora Coffee

Green Ville is a nice culinary centre near Royal Mediterania Garden. You will find various foods and beverages here. Koultora Coffee is a fancy coffee shop with modern industrial design in Jl. Taman Ratu Indah Blok AA2 No.33, Green Ville. The operation hours is from 7AM until 9PM. This place is also popular for photoshoot or mini workshops.

Make sure you come in the evening and take photo at the blue wall in the second floor with nature light from the windows. Your OOTD photos will look so awesome with the blue wall as the background!

 

Kuup Boardgame Coffee

This coffee shop has a nice murals on the walls for your photo background. Kuup also provides many board games for visitors. You can enjoy your weekend with family and friends while playing some board games here. If you are hungry, you can try some snacks and coffee here. On the other hand,, this is not a right place if you are looking a coffee shop with working environemnt because of there will be so many people laugh and chatting here.

Kuup Boardgame Coffe is located in Jl. Green Ville Blok BK No. 8C and the operation hours is from 10.30AM until 11PM.

 

Ardent Coffee & Kitchen

From the outside, maybe you will think this coffee shop is just a small coffee shop. But, if you come inside, you will be surprised with the spacious area inside. Ardent Coffee uses minimalistic design with white and grey for dominant colours. You can find outdoor area with Japanese style here so you can take indoor and outdoor photos in the same time.

Ardent Coffee & Kitchen is located in Jl. Pesanggrahan No.168F, the operation hours is from 8AM until 10PM.

 

Dancing Goat Coffee Co.

No, there is no goat in this coffee shop. But, you will find a nice ambience  with industrial style interior. Dancing Goat Coffee has three floors. The first floor is a place for coffee bar with a few tables and chairs. If you need a spacious area for business meeting or chatting with friends, just go to the second and third floor. The third floor also provides a smoking area and terrace.

Contain Coffee is located near Taman Anggrek Mall at Jl. Arjuna Utara No.32. The operation hours is from 9AM until 9PM.

The design is dominated with white colour and wooden tables, perfectly designed for your photo background. Contain Coffee is not really crowded everyday so you can enjoy this coffee shop for working area without being disturbed by chatting noise.

Love salted egg? You must try salted egg croissant in Say Something Coffee! The croissant is the favourite menu here. Say Something provides coffee with high caffeine, so you must choose latte if you are not a coffee addict.

Say Something Coffee also has a few nice spots with minimalist modern concept for your photo background. You can say if this coffee shop is a hidden gem because it located in a quiet shophouse area. This place is located at Ruko Grand Aries Niaga, Blok G1 No. 20 Jl. Taman Aries and the operation hours is from 8AM until 8PM.

 

Trelatte Coffee & Soul

Trelatte Coffee & Soul is located not far away from Say Something Coffee, precisely atRukan Kencana Niaga, Jl. Taman Aries Blok D1 No. 3C, 3D, & 3U and the operation hours is from 7AM until 8PM.

This place has many murals on the walls and nice ambience with high speed wifi. If you order some latte, don’t forget to ask for 3D foam. You will get a cute 3D foam on your drink without any additional price.

Srengseng Urban Forest

Srengseng Urban Forest is the bigger open green space in West Jakarta. It has 15 hectare area with children playground, fresh lake, open stage, food and beverages stalls, and wall-climbing facility. You can enjoy this park for jogging, walking, or just relaxing.

Palmerah Park

Palmerah Park is located inside DPR residence, Palmerah. Actually, it is just a small park. Maybe you can’t jog here, but your kids can enjoy the children playground. This park also has some simple exercise machines, reflection area, and many street culinary. If you happen to live near this park and craving for some afternoon snacks, you can easily find it around Palmerah Park.

Wijaya Kusuma Park

This park is a new park and officially opened for public from 2014, so the trees is still not lush. Wijaya Kusuma Park is located at Jl. Wijaya Kusuma Duri Kosambi and has 1.5 hectare area. The visitors can enjoy the jogging track, basketball court, children playground, fishing at the small lake, or just walking and enjoy the fresh air.

 

RPTRA Mawar Duri Kosambi (Mawar Park)

RPTRA (Ruang Publik Terpadu Ramah Anak) is an open space for children where the concept is about kids safety and comfortness. Jakarta has more than 200 RPTRA and RPTRA Mawar is a spacious park located near Kosambi Baru residence, Duri Kosambi. RPTRA Pesakih (Pesakih Park)

This RPTRA is located near Pesakih flats and Hasyim Aysari Mosque, Duri Kosambi. RPTRA Meruya Selatan is located at South Meruya near Meruya Water Park. This park has 1700 square meters area and officially launched at 2016. Same as another RPTRA, you will find children playground, futsal court, basketball court, simple exercise machines, nursing room, minimarket, library, and disability toilet. This RPTRA is also popular for some small events or mini workshops. Sometimes, the government of West Jakarta will make some mini workshops for the housewives in the neighbourhood on how to make handcraft.

RPTRA Kedoya Utara (Kedoya Utara Park)

Located at Jl Ratu Mawar blok L, RPTRA Kedoya Utara is very close to culinary center Greenville and Tanjung Duren. Pare’gu

at Pare’gu, you can find halal grilled food with all you can eat concept without time limit. Their favourite menu are grilled ribs, beef yakiniku, and shabu-shabu. PHX is a franchise food court with unique concept, they use container to construct food court area. PHX Grogol is located at Jl Dr. Susilo Raya No.342, the operation hours is 10AM until 11PM.
